The Batavia vs. Lake Park boys varsity wrestling dual meet concluded with a decisive victory for the home team on Thursday, December 11th, 2025. Batavia High School’s Bulldogs secured a 43-29 win over the Lake Park High School Lancers in Batavia, Illinois. The Bulldogs’ performance was highlighted by an exceptional number of bonus-point victories, which proved to be the deciding factor in the contest.
Batavia amassed 34 of their 43 team points through bonus-point matches. This impressive total included five wins by pin, one technical fall, and one major decision. The team demonstrated significant strength across the middle weights, which effectively built an insurmountable lead. Lake Park fought hard, securing four victories by pin and one by forfeit, showcasing their power in the upper weight classes. However, the Bulldogs’ consistent pressure and ability to score maximum points prevented a Lancer comeback.
Batavia found near-perfect success from the 126 lbs to the 157 lbs weight classes. The Bulldogs won five consecutive contested matches in this span. These victories included a Major Decision by Kai Enos at 126 lbs and pins by Kyle Pasco (132 lbs) and Cole Hubbard (157 lbs).
