CAROL STREAM, IL — The spirit of patriotism was on full display as the community gathered for the annual Carol Stream Fourth of July Parade on Friday July 4th. Despite cloudy skies and occasional rain showers, Carol Stream residents showed their patriotic spirit as they lined the streets to enjoy the vibrant procession of floats, marching bands, classic cars, and local organizations—all celebrating America’s 249th birthday. Umbrellas dotted the crowd, but the enthusiasm never wavered as families cheered on participants and kids eagerly collected tossed candy.

The parade kicked off at 10AM, traveling past the Coral Cove Water Park and ending at the Ross Ferraro Town Center with cheers from families decked out in red, white, and blue. Highlights included this year’s Grand marshal the Vrankovich family, Jesse White Tumbling Team and several youth sports teams like Mat Rat Wrestling Club and lastly the Flood Brothers. Kids scrambled for candy tossed by participants, while others waved flags and snapped photos and selfies with their favorite floats.

“It’s always a highlight of our summer,” said a local resident “Seeing the community come together like this is what makes Carol Stream special.”

After the parade, many attendees plan to view the firework display that will launch from Hampe Park at 9:15 PM prior to the concert at the town center.
