BATAIVA,IL – Batavia triumphed over Wheaton Warrenville South with a 35-13 victory on October 18th during a home game of the DuKane 2024 Football Season. 

Nathan Whitwell was the star scoring four touchdowns. Isaiah Brown contributed with a touchdown catch, while Wheaton Warrenville South’s Luca Carbonaro threw two touchdowns.

The Batavia student section was lively, with students dressed in high-visibility vests and waving baby face photos of their teammates. At the beginning of the game, there was a heartfelt senior ceremony honoring football players, cheerleaders, and band and dance members.

During halftime, the crowd enjoyed a whimsical performance of “On Top of Spaghetti,” featuring exercise balls painted to look like meatballs and a giant plate of spaghetti, adding a fun and memorable touch to the evening.

With this victory, Batavia is now in a strong position for the conference championship. A win next week, combined with a loss from Geneva, would secure their fifth conference title in six seasons.
