The Clint Arlis Wrestling Invite held at Batavia High School showcased top-tier talent from across the region, with Aurora’s Marmion Academy claiming the team title in a commanding performance. Marmion amassed 222 points, edging out Washington, which secured second place with 208.5 points. Rockton Hononegah rounded out the top three with a score of 172.

Marmion Academy’s victory was bolstered by multiple first-place finishes across weight classes, including standout performances by Colton Wyller (106 lbs), Demetrios Carrera (132 lbs), Zach Stewart (138 lbs), Ashton Hobson (150 lbs), Luke Boersma (190 lbs), and Mateusz Nycz (285 lbs). Their depth and consistency proved too much for their rivals, solidifying their position as the tournament’s top team.

Washington, finishing second, also delivered impressive results with several champions, including Peyton Cox (144 lbs), Wyatt Medlin (157 lbs), and Josh Hoffer (215 lbs). Their strong showing across multiple weight classes kept them in contention throughout the event.

Rockton Hononegah claimed third place, thanks to first-place finishes from stars like Rocco Cassioppi (126 lbs) and Connor Diemel (175 lbs). Downers Grove North and Iowa-Grant/Highland rounded out the top five teams, scoring 159 and 152.5 points, respectively.

Host team Batavia delivered a respectable performance, placing sixth overall with 144 points. Their effort was highlighted by Kai Enos, who took home the 113-pound title, and several other top-four finishes.
