Glenbard North Panthers Triumph Over St. Charles East Saints in Exciting Home Game

Carol Stream, IL – Glenbard North High School hosted St. Charles East in a thrilling basketball game on Friday night, ending with a decisive 60-47 victory for the Panthers. The game was packed with energy, stellar plays, and a spirited halftime show that kept fans on their feet.

The Panthers started strong, taking a 16-10 lead in the first quarter. St. Charles East battled back in the second quarter, outscoring Glenbard North 28-21 and briefly seizing momentum as the teams headed into halftime.

The halftime show featured Carol Stream Panthers Youth Basketball players, who impressed the crowd with skillful shots and an enthusiastic display of talent. Adding to the atmosphere, Glenbard North’s cheerleaders and school band kept the home crowd energized throughout the evening.

After regrouping during halftime, Glenbard North regained control in the third quarter, closing it out with a 43-39 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Panthers put on a dominant performance, extending their lead and locking in the win. Strategic timeouts—two called by St. Charles East and one by Glenbard North—added to the intensity of the final quarter.

Key performances came from Glenbard North’s Matt Welch (#32, Guard, Class of 2026), Jack Schager (#14, Guard, Class of 2025), and Lamari Carpenter (#1, Guard, Class of 2027).
