BATAVIA, IL – The Batavia Bulldogs football team secured a commanding 55-7 victory over the Lake Park Lancers on Friday night. Playing at home, the Bulldogs established control early and never looked back. Fans witnessed an impressive offensive display right from the opening quarter. Consequently, Batavia built an insurmountable lead before halftime.
Thomas Prescott ignited the scoring for the Batavia offense with a touchdown midway through the first quarter. Shortly after, Brennon Zeng added his first of four touchdowns on the night. Caden Meister then closed out the first quarter scoring. A successful two-point conversion run by Charlie Rosengren extended the lead to 21-0.
The offensive momentum continued into the second quarter. Zeng found the end zone two more times before the break. Furthermore, Liam Moran pushed through the defensive line for another rushing touchdown. Lake Park managed to get on the board late in the half when Logan Boebel scored and kicked the extra point. Entering the third quarter, the Batavia Bulldogs football roster maintained their intensity. Zeng crossed into the end zone for his fourth touchdown, capping a stellar individual performance.
